A discussion ABOUT the 2020 Census and redistricting

Stan Forbes - Immediate Past Chair - California Citizens Redistricting Commission

Ditas Katague, Director of California Complete Count – Census 2020, the statewide outreach and communications campaign to ensure a complete count of the hardest-to-count Californians. Ms. Katague is an expert in multi-ethnic outreach and civic engagement, and has served on several boards and commissions including the U.S. Census Bureau’s National Advisory Committee on Race and Populations, the Director of the Governor’s Census 2010 Census project and as Chief Deputy Director of the Governor’s Census 2000 California Complete Count campaign.

Stan Forbes - Mr. Forbes served as the chair of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. The independent commission is comprised of 14-citizens responsible for drawing the new lines for California’s Congressional, State Senate, State Assembly and State Board of Equalization districts to reflect new population data and shifting populations. He was one of 14 selected from 36,000 applicants. Mr. Forbes received a grant from Harvard Kennedy School of Government to speak and testify to those seeking to reform gerrymandering in their state. Stan is the owner of the Avid Reader Bookstore in Sacramento.
